Kind of an update...

When we closed on the property back in 2005, we got a copy of a survey map from 1968.  At the time, we either accepted that map or pay (several grand) for a new updated survey.  We were fine with the old survey...  We assumed this came from the county records...  but that *might* not be the case.   Carroll Co. "files" everything under the person's name who's filed it...  if you don't have their name, you're screwed (like us!).

Fast forward to modern times , we needed a plat map for the building permit and we thought we could get it from the county...  several owner's names later, including the name on the map I have...  nothing.  So Monday, we'll bring the map I got at closing to see if they will "accept" that.

We are in the queue at the factory and the house is planned to be set the weekend my wife is at the beach.  She ain't happy but it's likely that this will change.

Anyway, today I was playing with trying to figure out the elevation of the top of the basement...  best guess, The deepest wall might be a foot above grade...  Builder is coming out Tuesday to set the actual elevation...  if we don't match (which they will not) we'll see how far off, and try and compromise or I will understand why he wants it where he puts it.

Still have questions about where the heat pump unit will be put...  (east side is the correct answer...)

Otherwise, I'm trimming trees back on our access road...
