Final Inspection coming this week... Take two!

Wow, one crazy weekend...  "!#%@& cows" would sum it up.  I didn't secure the gate to a neighbors property properly and the cows got in.  Another neighbor's cows been getting on to our land and leaving patties...  Barley LOVES fresh patties.  We do not... thus, impromptu dog wash.

Progress yes but as usual, it's slow.  Went through the house with the builder and did our punch list... surprised him with a couple items.

Personally, I can not see the final inspection happening this week but we're within a week or two.  Was hoping to be done before memorial weekend...  but what the hell.

Final Inspection coming this week...

We are not done but what needs to be done, doesn't need to be inspected.  Barley is SO HAPPY (you can see it in his face)...  actually, that's his "get that stupid new camera out of my face" look.

Tried out panoramic photos, not sure how they will do when I re-sized them (using a new re-sizing program, too).

2 weeks away from the end? is this true?

If history teaches us anything...  it ain't happening.  The builders reply is that they plan to be done by what they promised, May 15th.  Would be nice... not holding my breath.

Still have a ways to go...  but really if they work just on our house.  It should not take that much time.  A couple workers either quit or got fired, taking too long to finish work (we have a theme here).

We went over budget and will owe them about 10k more...  a stupid wood stove, pipe and rock wall cost $4,500...

We have water to the whole house... just not hot water yet.  Ceiling fans are up and the floor molding is in place.  Everything has a nice new coat of paint...

Work for me is about to hit full steam ahead mode...  not planning to head up there this weekend.  Would like to go but would be disappointed by the lack of progress.  Thinking about telling the builder, ok, let get this show on the road!!!   Need to finish it...

Slow and steady progress...

Nice to see changes every week now...  I picked up the wood stove

from Floyd, it was fun moving the wood stove into place,

all 460 pounds.  Had a little help with the tractor

Side deck started.

 Plan this week is to start the roof, I'll just assume they'll finish the deck first.

First step is tricky.

We are adding another small deck back here that will go to the mud room.

 Post in the front, roof posts on the deck.

Toilets mounted and we have water in the house!

 Some electrical stuff is still needed, ceiling fans hung, hot water heater wired up...

Builder is ready to finish us up... before we ask for another deck!

New Trusses showed up.  Will use the flat bottoms ones for something...
